Great Family Attractions to Enjoy While Staying at a Las Vegas Motel

Cash is king in Las Vegas, and you’ll have more of it if you stay at an affordable Las Vegas motel.  For families traveling with children, a motel stay makes a lot of sense and you’ll have extra money in your pocket to enjoy the extraordinary attractions that Las Vegas has to offer.  These are favorites you should check out:

  •
    • FAO Schwarz, the greatest toy store on earth!  And they let you play with the toys here.  Located at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. FREE
    • Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand. Open from 11am to 11pm daily.  Get close to the lions; they’re right behind a huge glass window.  It’ll put chills down your spine. FREE
    • Fremont Street Experience.  Fremont Street, Downtown Las Vegas.  12 million lights make up the greatest light show you’ve ever seen.  With music blaring over a tremendous sound system, you’ll love the experience. From dusk to midnight.  FREE.  It’s a few minutes from the Strip, and within walking distance if your Las Vegas motel is in the downtown area.
    • Circus Acts at Circus Circus Hotel. The circus is in town everyday here from 11am to midnight, and the show happens every half hour with performers walking the tight rope and trapeze artists flipping only feet above the casino floor.  FREE. FYI, the Las Vegas Travelodge is a family-oriented Las Vegas motel located right across the street from the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino.

  •
    • Bellagio Fountains.  Every 15 minutes the beautiful fountains burst forth with music.  FREE
    • Volcano at the Mirage Hotel.  The 54 foot high volcano erupts nightly, and the heat coming off the volcano is a little too realistic for some.  You can get a great view of the eruption from the Venetian Hotel and can take some cool pictures too. FREE
    • Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.  This is a half-replica of the real Eiffel Tower, but it’s observation deck at the top (460 ft up!) gives you unparalleled views of the Las Vegas valley. Go at night and see the Bellagio Fountains; that’s a sight!  General Admission $10, Children $7
    • Springs Preserve, located just a few minutes from Downtown Las Vegas, is well worth a family trip “off the strip”.  It is a cultural and historic attraction with canyons to explore, live animal exhibits, interactive exhibits, a desert living center, and a children’s play area. Tickets range from $6.95 to $18.95.

Wherever your Las Vegas motel is located, you will be within a few minutes of great family fun in every direction.
